The Forager

2 Guests - 1 Queen Bedroom - 1 Bathroom

The luxurious, self-contained Forager is situated within the Twigley Farm grounds. It maintains a separate entrance, secluded living spaces and sweeping country vistas.

Sip a glass of wine by the fire, soak in the heritage outhouse bath or watch the mist rise over the paddocks. The Forager is an idyllic setting to relax and simply just breathe...

Cosy & Secluded Glamping for Two

Our queen bed looks out to the cattle grazing in the paddock and the wind blowing through the tall grass. She's cozy with everything you need to luxuriate, and the electric fireplace will keep you warm during those cold winter nights.

Soak in the claw foot bath in our restored private outhouse. Make sure to open the antique windows for views out over the countryside and a glimpse at the horses grazing.

The Forager is all yours, and the space around is shared by our family and farm animals. Sometimes the area around our Glamping is very quiet, and sometimes a tractor may be in the paddock or our horses are grazing nearby.

Wander up the driveway and down the grass path to the dam which is a great spot for a morning coffee or a sunset wine. You will see some farm animals along the way, if you would like to feed them just let us know and we'll introduce you!

We kindly ask that you leave The Forager as you found it.

    Before you leave, please:

    • Wash and return all dishes to the cupboard inside the tent.

    • Turn off the air conditioner, fan & heater.

    • Close all doors.

    • Switch off all lights.

If additional cleaning is required after your stay, a $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged to your booking.

We stock an essentials pantry which includes ground coffee beans, black and herbal teas, salt, pepper, olive oil, and milk. Please pop into a shop for your supplies. Guests find it hard to leave once they arrive, so we recommend you do this in Brisbane or Ipswich before you arrive, or swing past the local SPAR in Marburg on your way.

Inside the tent, you’ll find a games basket, slippers, a picnic blanket, and hanging storage for your belongings. For your comfort, we have a Dyson freestanding air conditioner, a freestanding fan, and an electric heater to adjust the temperature just how you like it.

There is a fire pit with hardwood, matches and firestarters provided to help you get your fire going. If you would like extra firewood during your stay, you can purchase more at the Haigslea BP.

    • We live on the property in the farmhouse at the end of the driveway. We like to give you privacy, but you might see us out and about working with the animals. Feel free to say hello if you like — we are always happy to chat — but we are also happy to give you space.

    • Most days at Twigley Farm are peaceful, with only the sound of birds and the breeze through the grass. However, you may sometimes hear cars, farm work (like slashing), or animals.

    • Please note: there is a set of stairs at the entrance to The Forager Glamping Tent & Outhouse as well as uneven surfaces. We may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

    • We are located on a working farm and have horses, geese, goats, and dogs on the property. You may also see local wildlife. Please consider if this will be an issue for you before booking.

    • It is very important that guests have travel insurance. Very occasionally, our road may close temporarily due to flooding. Guests are responsible for their own insurance. We are not able to issue refunds or extend bookings if your plans change because of bad weather.
